Prados the only absentee for Villarreal clash at San Mamés | OneFootball

Gorosabel trained with Athletic at Lezama on Friday and looks likely to be available for Sunday’s meeting with Villarreal at San Mamés, leaving Prados as Ernesto Valverde’s only absentee.

According to as.com, the right-back sat out last week’s trip to Getafe due to discomfort in the rotator muscles of his left hip, and his return bolsters Valverde’s options.

Prados is in the final phase of recovery from the serious knee injury he suffered in September last year, although he has not yet rejoined full training with the group.

Valverde has also welcomed back Paredes this week. The centre-back returned to group work on Wednesday after recovering from a heavy contusion to his left calf sustained on 4 March in the Copa semi-final second leg against Real Sociedad.

Athletic will complete their final session on Saturday at 18:00, following Valverde’s pre-match press conference, before facing Marcelino’s side on Sunday.
