Bayer Leverkusen are closing in on Guéla Doué from Racing Strasbourg, with a verbal agreement in place and talks over the fee ongoing.

Sky Germany reports that Doué has given his word to Leverkusen, with only agreement on terms with Strasbourg still required. A fee of around €35 million is viewed as likely to complete the deal.

Transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri says the right-back has rejected interest from Paris Saint-Germain in favour of Leverkusen.

Kicker reports Strasbourg initially sought €50 million for the Côte d’Ivoire international, but that figure has since been significantly reduced during negotiations.
