Real Madrid secure more funds with youngster sale | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have early this week agreed on the sale of an up-and-coming member of the club’s defensive ranks.

This comes amid widespread confirmation that Víctor Valdepeñas is all set to take his talents to Italy, with Serie A outfit Fiorentina.

The name of youngster Valdepeñas will of course be familiar to regular viewers of Real Madrid. This comes after the 19-year-old was afforded his senior debut by the club this past season.

En route to a La Liga victory over Deportivo Alavés back in December, the versatile full-back/centre-back featured from the off, not looking at all out of place amongst a star-studded XI.

Aware that his route to regular minutes in Spain’s capital was blocked yet further by the arrival of Marc Cucurella this summer, however, Valdepeñas has been hotly tipped for a new adventure away from the Bernabéu over recent weeks.

And as alluded to above, this week, the Spaniard has indeed been convinced to move on.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘Fiorentina reach verbal agreement to sign Víctor Valdepeñas from Real Madrid, here we go! €8m transfer fee, contract until June 2031, Real Madrid mantain 50% sell-on clause and future control in case of any bids.’
