Real Sociedad re-sign Javier Soroeta for Sanse | OneFootball

Real Sociedad have re-signed 21-year-old forward Javier Soroeta for Sanse next season after exercising a buy-back clause, Diario Vasco reports.

Soroeta was sold to Real Unión last summer, with La Real retaining a preferential option to bring him back before 15 June. The Irún club had been notified and the move was made official on Wednesday.

The Donostia-born striker hit 15 goals in 29 matches in Segunda RFEF last season. He had a year left on his Real Unión contract and had attracted interest from other sides, including Athletic and Córdoba, the report said.

He now returns to the txuri-urdin set-up to step into Segunda División, two categories above where he was playing last term.

Soroeta has signed through to the end of the 2027/28 season. Two seasons ago he played for Real C and even made his Sanse debut in Primera RFEF. He will reunite with contemporaries Arkaitz Mariezkurrena and Gorka Carrera, both born in 2005.
