Referee audio was introduced on 68 minutes during OL v Lorient.

According to Le Progres, Bruno Bastien’s microphone, linked to VAR, was engaged when a collision involving Afonso Moreira and Panos Katséris prompted a review.

The opponent made the first intervention, then ran into the Lyon player, who had not seen him coming.

The Lyon player was not at fault.

Lorient head coach Olivier Pantaloni later said the process felt somewhat staged, took time, and did not reassure him.
