Milan had a busy summer following a heartbreaking end to the 2025/26 Serie A season, but the squad rebuild is far from over. According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri could add two more pieces to Ruben Amorim’s jigsaw in the upcoming January transfer window.

Goncalo Ramos joined the club in the summer as a marquee signing, with Milan shattering the club’s transfer record to lure him away from Paris Saint-Germain. Indeed, the 19-time Italian champions splashed out €74 million to capture the Portuguese striker’s signature.

In addition to Ramos, Diego Moreira and Mario Gila have also strengthened Amorim’s squad for a combined fee of nearly €85m. However, Milan were also desperate to sign another center-back, with Sporting CP’s Goncalo Inacio and Lecce’s Tiago Gabriel emerging as their top targets.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid forward Endrick was also high on Milan’s shortlist. Yet, with Los Blancos taking the Brazilian starlet off the market, the Rossoneri brought in Omari Hutchinson on loan from Nottingham Forest as a backup option.

Who Could Milan Target in January?

Despite seeing their late summer approach for Gabriel turned down by Lecce, Milan could reignite their interest in the 21-year-old in January. Represented by Jorge Mendes, Gabriel looks like an attainable target for the Rossoneri, considering the Portuguese super-agent has a close relationship with the club’s top brass.

As for Endrick, he has found himself on the fringes of Jose Mourinho’s project at the start of the new La Liga campaign. Even though the ‘Special One’ convinced Real Madrid to keep the young gun at the club in the summer, things are likely to change in January, with Milan ready to pounce.
