Safouane Benzahra among four Monaco academy graduates to sign first professional contracts | OneFootball

According to Get French Football News, Safouane Benzahra, 18, is one of four Monaco academy graduates to sign first professional contracts running until the summer of 2029.

The Morocco youth international has featured for the first team this season, playing in both of the club's UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers and logging a handful of Ligue 1 minutes.

Centre-back Melvin Gomes, 18, has committed to Les Monégasques despite interest from Premier League side Chelsea.

Nael Haddani, 17, a winger with Morocco’s U18s, has also signed, as has playmaker Najd Aroud, 18, who has represented France and Tunisia at youth level.

The trio will continue to gain experience in Dennis Schmitt’s Groupe Élite and, like Benzahra, could also vie for places in Filipe Luís’ first-team set-up.
