Santos to honour Naty Potira with ‘Eterna Potira’ shirt patch | OneFootball

Santos will pay tribute to influencer Naty Potira, 39, who died last Saturday from complications of cervical cancer diagnosed in 2023.

The club said in a statement that a personalised shirt patch would honour her and represent all Santos supporters who have faced or are facing cancer, and would also raise awareness of the Outubro Rosa campaign that she championed with the club, stressing the importance of early diagnosis.

The team will wear the patch on Friday against São Paulo at Morumbis in the 21st round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

The shirt will feature Naty’s picture alongside the message ‘Eterna Potira’.

Her wake was held at the Torcida Jovem court and drew a large turnout of supporters. She had around 500,000 Instagram followers and regularly posted sports content and updates about Santos.
