Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi allegedly confronted Roma sporting director Tony D’Amico after Roma’s dramatic win over Atalanta on Saturday.

Corriere dello Sport reports that the clash happened at full time, with Percassi insulting D’Amico and the Roma director refusing to respond.

Percassi then reportedly followed D’Amico to the Stadio Olimpico car park, where security stepped in to restore calm.

The report says tension between D’Amico and Percassi, who is also Lega Serie A vice-president, dates back two years, when Gian Piero Gasperini left Atalanta for Roma.

D’Amico’s move to Roma earlier this summer further upset Atalanta, who had initially blocked the 46-year-old despite already having an agreement with Cristiano Giuntoli as his replacement.

It is said that Roma view Percassi’s conduct as unacceptable and will take all necessary measures to protect D’Amico. Atalanta have not responded to the reports.
