Setback in Nervión: Juanlu sidelined as Atalanta ‘prepare’ 15 million offer | OneFootball

Sevilla’s pre-season has been hit by a muscle injury to Juanlu Sánchez, sidelining the Montequinto wing-back for at least two weeks as Serie A interest builds.

El Desmarque reports the 22-year-old has a fibrillar injury in his left quadriceps. He will rest and follow specific rehab for a minimum of two weeks, with the club’s medical staff proceeding cautiously to prevent relapse.

He is expected to miss upcoming friendlies against KS Cracovia, Córdoba and AD Ceuta. A Netherlands training camp place is not ruled out, though minutes against NEC Nijmegen or Utrecht appear unlikely. He joins Alfon in the treatment room, the latter out for seven to eight weeks with a more severe right quadriceps tear.

Radio Marca says Atalanta are monitoring his situation and are weighing a 15 million euros proposal. His versatility, covering full-back, midfield or the right wing, is valued in Italy.

Fiorentina are also following his progress, while Napoli previously explored a move worth around 20 million euros.

Meanwhile, Nigeria striker Akor Adams is close to joining Venezia for about 20 million euros. Any exits would ease Sevilla’s wage limit and shape the next steps of their window.
