Sevilla meet Iván Martín’s agent and assess Adrián Liso as rebuild continues | OneFootball

Sevilla are exploring a move for Girona midfielder Iván Martín as they look to add craft and control to Luis García Plaza’s side.

According to La Colina De Nervion, the club have met the player’s representative to gauge the conditions and viability of a summer deal. Martín has two years left on his contract at Montilivi and Girona’s relegation to Segunda has opened a window, though Sevilla’s finances could shape any agreement. A loan or even a contract termination are viewed as the most feasible routes.

During the same meeting, Sevilla also discussed winger Adrián Liso, who is represented by the same agency. Real Zaragoza have, for now, ruled out another loan and are pointing to a fee of about three million euros, a figure that looks out of reach for Nervión.

Martín, born in Biscay and raised in Murcia, came through Villarreal’s academy and made his top-flight debut in 2018. Loans at Mirandés and Deportivo Alavés preceded a 2021 switch to Girona, where he became a key figure, and their relegation has put his future in focus.

The right-footed 1.78m playmaker operates as an attacking midfielder or right-sided interior, noted for vision, line-breaking passes and calm under pressure. He links quickly, arrives in the box and carries a threat from distance.

Other suitors are monitoring Martín, including Deportivo de La Coruña, the new RCD Espanyol with Monchi, and Athletic Club.
