Stuttgart boss discusses futures of Undav and Nübel | OneFootball

With Deniz Undav’s contract expiring in the summer of 2027, VfB Stuttgart are in talks with the striker over an extension – and are optimistic that an agreement will be reached.

“I am confident that things will continue with him beyond 2027. From Deniz’s perspective, VfB is probably not the worst address, both in sporting terms and beyond,” VfB Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth told Sport Bild.

“We want to continue working with Deniz and will put in full effort to achieve that. Of course, it is also the case that we must not exceed certain financial limits.”

Could Alexander Nübel join Stuttgart permanently from Bayern?

In the interview, Wohlgemuth was also asked about the possibility of keeping Alexander Nübel beyond the summer, when his loan from Bayern Munich expires.

“In football, I would not rule anything out,” Wohlgemuth said, continuing:

“However, the question comes too early. We have to wait and see; we can’t do the maths here without the landlord. After all, Alex has a long-term contract in Munich.”

Nübel has spent the last three seasons on loan at Stuttgart.
