Three transfers Leicester City can pursue despite double uncertainty

Leicester City are waiting on a new manager and clarity over exits before accelerating summer recruitment, but several targets can still be moved forward.

According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, the club can progress work on a goal-scoring striker, a physical central midfielder and a creative winger regardless of the dugout decision.

With Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka not sticking around, City are operating as if they have no senior striker. Whoever takes charge will need a number nine who reliably finishes chances. Last season’s relegation fight was hampered by forwards who failed to convert and attack space in the box.

Midfield options could remain, with Oliver Skipp on a long contract, Louis Page in line for more minutes if he stays, and Sammy Braybrooke set for a bigger role after shining in League Two. Even so, there is no commanding presence. Leicester want brawn and energy to dominate duels and support their technicians.

On the flanks, Abdul Fatawu’s sale appears inevitable and Jeremy Monga is likely to go, so at least one winger will be required. Jake Evans can play on the right, but at 17 he may not be ready to carry a season. A senior wide player with trickery, pace and end product would keep City threatening.
