Tottenham plunge deeper into trouble as Forest rout piles pressure on Igor Tudor | OneFootball

Tottenham were routed at home by Nottingham Forest, a defeat that dragged them deeper into a relegation fight and heaped pressure on head coach Igor Tudor.

According to Telegraph, Tudor went straight down the tunnel and missed his post-match media duties after being informed of an immediate family bereavement, with assistant Bruno Saltor standing in.

Igor Jesus struck first and Morgan Gibbs-White doubled the lead, before substitute Taiwo Awoniyi added a late third that sent many home supporters towards the exits. The result lifted Forest above Tottenham in the survival scramble.

Forest showed the edge required for a relegation battle, and have been here before, with three fights against the drop in four seasons since returning to the top flight.

They have also changed head coach three times this season, widely criticised, yet this was a landmark win for Vítor Pereira, who this week secured a place in the Europa League quarter-finals.

For Tottenham, there is no league win this year and the club now face a decision on whether another managerial change could avert a disastrous relegation. Tudor’s tenure stands at seven matches and, after recent promise evaporated, his position appears precarious.
