Trabzonspor ‘open talks’ for Bertrand Traoré after Sunderland exit | OneFootball

Bertrand Traoré is being lined up for a move to Trabzonspor. Africafoot reports that the Türkiye side have opened talks with the 30-year-old winger’s camp over a free transfer.

Traoré left Sunderland at the end of last season. He had joined the Black Cats in September last year for around £2.5million, signing a one-year deal with an option for a further season.

He made 12 Premier League appearances in 2025-26, scoring once. Injuries limited his involvement, and he struggled to secure a regular starting place.

The former Chelsea, Lyon, Aston Villa, Villarreal and Ajax attacker brought top-level experience to Wearside. Trabzonspor are assessing attacking reinforcements before the new season, and his free-agent status could appeal.

Traoré has won more than 90 caps for Burkina Faso, adding notable international pedigree should any move progress.
