Trabzonspor ‘open talks’ to sign Bertrand Traoré after Sunderland release | OneFootball

Bertrand Traoré is being lined up by Süper Lig side Trabzonspor after his summer exit from Sunderland.

Africafoot reports that Trabzonspor have opened negotiations with the 30-year-old Burkina Faso international's representatives over a potential free transfer.

Traoré joined Sunderland in September last year for around £2.5 million, signing a one-year deal with an option of a further year. He previously featured for Chelsea, Lyon, Aston Villa, Villarreal and Ajax.

The winger made 12 Premier League appearances for the Black Cats in 2025-26, scoring once, during a spell hampered by injuries and a lack of regular starts.

Trabzonspor are assessing attacking options ahead of the new season, and his availability on a free, plus experience across England, France, Spain, the Netherlands and international football, could appeal. He has more than 90 caps for Burkina Faso.
