Valencia tie down Rubén Muñoz with contract extension | OneFootball

Valencia have extended the contract of left-sided defender Rubén Muñoz.

According to Superdeporte, the Spain under-19 international will continue his development within the club’s academy after agreeing renewed terms.

Muñoz joined Valencia in 2012 aged five, progressing through each youth category.

Now 19, he is part of Valencia Mestalla and has trained with the first team, earning a call-up for the final matchday of 25/26 against Barcelona.

Across the past two seasons under Corberán, academy graduates including Tárrega, Mosquera, Yarek, Iranzo, Javi Guerra and Fran Pérez have featured for the senior side.

Paterna is also renowned for producing left-backs, with Jordi Alba and Bernat paving the way for José Gayà, followed by Lato, Centelles and Jesús Vázquez.
