Viery set for Fiorentina medical after €13m plus add-ons deal with Gremio | OneFootball

Fiorentina are set to bring Gremio defender Viery in for medical tests on Tuesday as a move nears completion. Sky Sport Italia puts the agreement at €13m plus add-ons.

The 21-year-old is primarily a centre-back, and can fill in at left-back.

A Gremio academy graduate, he stepped up to the senior squad in February 2025 and this season has two goals and one assist in 27 appearances.

Nottingham Forest, LOSC, Juventus, Brighton and Hove Albion, Napoli and Bologna were among the clubs monitoring him.

He is expected to land in Rome, then head to Florence for medical tests before signing a five-year contract.

This would be Fiorentina's first major signing since new coach Fabio Grosso was appointed.
