Villarreal head into the final day of the window with business largely complete and no major issues pending, confident their squad is well balanced for the season.
From midnight, when two September begins, clubs can no longer formalise new inter-club deals. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Villarreal are not planning late signings unless an unwanted exit forces a change of course.
With Péter Gulácsi and Nathan Saliba arriving this summer, the intention is to keep the current group intact. Even so, a late twist can never be fully ruled out in the closing hours.
The stance is reactive. The club do not expect to enter the market today, but will stay on the phone until the deadline in case a rival moves to pay a release clause for a first-team player.
This approach follows a summer plan built on continuity, retaining much of the existing structure after last year’s rebuild. Barring a late surprise, focus will shift from the market to the pitch once the window shuts, with vigilance maintained until the cut-off.
