Vitor Severino rejects Marítimo approach and stays at Grêmio | OneFootball

Vitor Severino, assistant to Luís Castro at Grêmio, has rejected an approach from Marítimo and will stay for the rest of the season, according to Globo.com.

He judged it was not the right moment to leave or to end his partnership with Luís Castro. The pair have worked together for about 10 years and he feels that trust should not be broken.

Beyond Marítimo, other clubs have made contact, but he has turned them down. Supporters' affection and Grêmio's need for a response in the Brasileirão, together with his long association with Luís Castro, influenced the decision.

Severino is currently in Portugal so his children can visit their grandparents during the recess.

Grêmio are due back at work on 17 June at CT Luiz Carvalho.
