Albion expect summer churn after a miserable 2025/26, with six senior contracts up in June. According to ExpressAndStar.com, director of football operations Ian Pearce, technical director Dominic Price and head coach James Morrison will decide who stays.
Karlan Grant’s six years have been mixed, though his pre-injury form showed value and his absence since January was felt. With finances in play and interest likely as he turns 29 in September, verdict: leave.
Daryl Dike’s spell has been ravaged by injuries, despite a late return under Morrison. Reliability concerns persist and with the striker 26 next month, the likely call is to move on, verdict: leave.
Jed Wallace’s good run was halted by another calf problem. An exemplary captain, but after 18 months without regular starts amid Tom Fellows’ rise, a fresh start looks sensible, verdict: leave.
Josh Maja’s three years were injury-hit. A superb early 2024/25 showed his ceiling, yet consistency has not followed under several coaches, so a parting feels right, verdict: leave.
Joe Wildsmith, the back-up keeper, has not played on loan at play-off side Middlesbrough since January. After a missed pre-Christmas chance under Ryan Mason, he looks set to move on, verdict: leave.
Max O’Leary steadied the position after arriving from Bristol City in January and rarely erred. Albion will keep scouring for a No 1 while considering him, and he may seek stronger starts assurance, verdict: stay.
