Former Ajax midfielder Richard Witschge has backed Wolves loanee Tolu Arokodare to score 25 goals in the Eredivisie this season, provided he remains fit.
The Old Gold were relegated from the Premier League last season after winning just three of their fixtures and finishing with 20 points.
That prompted a number of players to head for the Molineux exit door, with Arokodare among those keen to avoid a season in the Championship.
The 25-year-old subsequently secured a season-long loan move to Ajax, with the Dutch giants beating competition from Trabzonspor, who also made an offer, while Fiorentina also registered an interest.
The centre-forward made his debut against Zwolle in a 2-0 Ajax victory, providing an assist on his first appearance for the club and expressing his delight at joining a side with a winning mentality.

Arokodare then opened his European account for Ajax last night in the Conference League playoff round, scoring against Sion at the Tourbillon as the Dutch side claimed a 4-2 victory.
Witschge has been impressed by the Wolves loanee’s physical presence and sharpness in attack, particularly the way the forward competes for and converts difficult aerial chances.
He believes the 25-year-old’s movement and ability to make the most of opportunities merit a starting role for Ajax.
While Witschge is unsure of Arokodare’s fitness, he feels the striker could be highly productive in the Eredivisie if he is given regular opportunities, even backing him to reach 25 goals.

Witschge was quoted as saying by Dutch outlet Soccernews: “There is a colossus in the front.
“It’s unbelievable how that ball gets to him, it’s not easy to head like that.
“He comes in well, is sharp and then heads it in well.
“He deserves a starting spot, I think.
“I don’t know how fit he is, but if he’s there, I’m afraid he’ll just score 25 in the Eredivisie.”
Another Wolves player, Santiago Bueno, has also attracted interest from Ajax and could yet join Arokodare in the Netherlands.
Wolves have meanwhile added further firepower to their squad, with Raul Jimenez and Rafiki Said among their attacking additions.
The Old Gold began their Championship campaign with a 2-2 draw against Blackburn Rovers, with Jimenez on the scoresheet, and will now look to secure their first win when they face Preston North End at Deepdale on Saturday.
