Wolves have re-signed Raul Jimenez on a free transfer, three years after his departure, the club announced on their official website.

The striker had recently mooted a Molineux return and initial talks followed, with negotiations accelerating in recent days.

Club officials travelled to Mexico, where Jimenez is preparing for the World Cup, to work on the deal. An agreement was reported before tonight’s confirmation.

Earlier, Fulham director Tony Khan hinted Jimenez was heading back to Molineux in an interview, after his exit from Craven Cottage was listed among several departures.

Khan said he had drafted a statement on Friday and understood an announcement was due, noting Wolves’ timing around communications. He also praised Jimenez’s contribution since joining Fulham in 2023.

Manager Rob Edwards said the player needed little persuading but weighed family considerations, with his young children settled at school in London, and other options on the table. He added that Jimenez felt the supporters’ affection on a recent Molineux visit and that the club remains close to his heart.
