Yuri Alberto suffers ninth medical issue at Corinthians, latest a grade two biceps femoris injury | OneFootball

According to Meu Timao, striker Yuri Alberto has sustained a grade two injury to the biceps femoris in his left thigh, the ninth medical issue since he joined Corinthians in June 2022. Recovery in such cases typically ranges from three to eight weeks, dependent on clinical progress.

It is the 10th medical occurrence of his career, nine at Corinthians and one at Internacional. The most serious so far kept him out for 62 days.

Back in 2021 with Internacional, he suffered bone oedema in his left foot during a match against Cuiabá and missed 10 days.

At Corinthians, his first setback came in 2024 during the Dérbi in the Campeonato Paulista, when a strong challenge from Murilo caused a rib fissure. He returned after eight days.

In April that year he was diagnosed with tendinitis in the left biceps femoris, a similar area to the current problem. He recovered in two weeks and scored on return against Nacional of Paraguay in the Sudamericana.

In August 2024 he underwent surgery to remove gallstones, which sidelined him for 24 days. He came back earlier than initially expected, with the original estimate pushing his return into September.

November 2024 brought his first muscular issue at the club, a grade 1B injury to the posterior thigh, and he missed nine days.

In 2025 he left a match against Atlético-MG with severe lower back pain and was carried to the dressing room. Tests the next day confirmed a fracture of the right L1 transverse process. He also spent 29 days out with an inguinal hernia, 13 days with groin problems and 10 with inflammation of the left adductor.
