Arsenal players concluded the recent international break with impressive displays for their respective countries, underlining the growing influence of the squad at both senior and youth levels. The September window saw four Gunners included in the England squad, alongside several others who represented their nations across Europe and South America.
The regularity with which Arsenal’s players are now called up by national teams is viewed as a clear marker of progress at the Emirates. It reflects the quality of talent available to Mikel Arteta and the development work being carried out by the coaching staff. From established internationals to emerging prospects, the club’s presence on the global stage continues to expand.
As highlighted by Arsenal Media, Declan Rice played a pivotal role for England in their emphatic victory over Serbia, registering two assists. Noni Madueke also made his mark in the same match by scoring, further boosting his international credentials. Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze and Myles Lewis-Skelly were unused options during the fixture.
Elsewhere, Martin Ødegaard delivered a captain’s performance for Norway, inspiring an 11-1 triumph over Moldova with two assists and a goal. His leadership and creativity ensured Norway cruised to an extraordinary result. In the same qualification group, Riccardo Calafiori was an unused substitute in Italy’s win against Israel, demonstrating the depth of international talent within Arsenal’s ranks.

In South America, Piero Hincapié played the full 90 minutes as Ecuador secured victory over Argentina, completing their World Cup qualifying campaign with an impressive 28 points and only five goals conceded across 18 matches. By contrast, Brazil suffered a setback against Bolivia, with Gabriel and Gabriel Martinelli remaining on the bench throughout the game.
While not every player featured extensively, the breadth of Arsenal’s international representation highlights the trust placed in their squad members by national coaches. Importantly, all players are expected to return to club duty without injury concerns, ensuring Arteta has a fully fit group available for the resumption of domestic competition.
The performances across continents demonstrate the calibre of Arsenal’s squad and reinforce their growing reputation on the international stage. With players excelling for their countries, the momentum gained during the break could provide a timely boost as the Gunners continue their pursuit of success this season.
