La Liga giants Barcelona have this weekend announced some welcome positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that youngster Dani Rodríguez has been given the medical green light to return to competitive action.

Winger Rodríguez has for his part not taken to the pitch since late last season.

After the 20-year-old was afforded a surprise first-team starting berth in a La Liga meeting with Real Valladolid, disaster soon struck.

This came by way of a dislocated shoulder, forcing Rodríguez under the knife over the summer.

The Spaniard has spent the time since working tirelessly towards a full recovery, with one eye no doubt on wrestling back a place in Hansi Flick’s senior Blaugrana ranks.

And as alluded to above, this weekend, Rodríguez has taken a significant step towards as much.

As per a statement across the club’s social media platforms, the young attacker has been cleared to play his part in Barca Atlètic’s next outing.

Óscar Ureña will also be available after an injury absence of his own.
