The preseason tour up ahead for FC Barcelona will give Hansi Flick a good chance to assess his players. So far, the squad members are gradually returning to training following their recent vacations. However, Barcelona are aware that they need to make some timely adjustments.

Beyond just the moving of pieces in terms of the team’s hierarchy, Hansi Flick also has to address individual concerns that the club might have with certain players. However, there is only so much power that the coach has, and the higher-ups at Barcelona might just have to be involved in certain scenarios.

Keeping that in mind, there are certain cases that need to be addressed urgently this summer as well. With Barcelona looking to free up salary space, it becomes vitally important for the Catalan giants to sort out such matters quickly.

The most prominent example of such a case remains German goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen. His future at the club is more than uncertain right now, and the arrival of Joan Garcia has certainly complicated matters.

Interestingly, Mundo Deportivo has now highlighted that the German player remained in the gym once again for the second consecutive day. This meant that his teammates continued to train on the pitch without him with yet another day just passing by.

Not the first time this has happened

The same scenario happened yesterday and it definitely raised some eyebrows due to the player’s current situation at the club. However, MD reports that the reason behind this is some kind of physical discomfort that the Barcelona captain is dealing with.

Still, it is impossible to ignore the signs and not consider Ter Stegen’s potential departure. After all, other reports have suggested that the Barcelona player’s agent is already looking at other potential destinations as well in case Ter Stegen ends up changing his mind about staying at the club for now.
