FC Barcelona have been diligently working towards sorting out their financial problems as soon as possible. While there are many issues to address, there are certainly some that are more pressing than others. For Barcelona, one such issue is the registration of their summer signings for the second half of the season.
Most notably, Spanish star Dani Olmo could end up being stuck as an unregistered player if Barcelona do not stick to their deadlines. At the moment, they have before the 31st of December of ensure that the Euro-winning attacking midfielder is fully registered with La Liga.
However, recent developments have given the club a lot of optimism in this regard and this has been conveyed to the player’s entourage as well it appears. According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have conveyed this optimism to the player’s camp and this reassurance has eased the concerns of the Spaniard’s entourage regarding his registration.
One of the more notable developments that has allowed this to happen is the recent agreement between Joan Laporta and a Dubai-based company to sell part of the VIP seats. While it is true that La Blaugrana still need €60 million more to guarantee the registrations of both the €60 million-rated midfielder and Pau Victor, there is a lot of optimism at the club in regards to making it happen in time.
Currently, the club aims to sell all of the VIP seats in order to generate around €100 million and ensure the registration of their players. Moreover, it will reportedly allow the club to comply with La Liga’s 1:1 rule and finally enable Barcelona to sign players as per the limits of their actual sales revenue without restrictions.
For now, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor remain the two players who still need to have their registrations sorted out. Moreover, the contract renewals of both Pedri and Gavi are still also pending due to financial reasons and the official announcement may come sooner or later depending on the circumstances.
