Barcelona ‘seriously involved’ in the bidding for Premier League star | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona are considered as being leading protagonists in the race for the signature of Crystal Palace star Marc Guéhi.

That’s according to transfer insider Florian Plettenberg of Sky, who has on Monday provided an insight into the situation.

England international Guéhi, for his part, is fresh off seeing a deadline day move away from Selhurst Park collapse at the last minute over the summer.

This comes after the stopper went as far as to travel for a medical with Liverpool, only to see Crystal Palace pull the plug on the operation after being unable to source a replacement.

Ahead of the expiration of Guéhi’s contract terms in the summer of 2026, interest, in turn, is beginning to mount.

And as alluded to above, chief amongst his suitors are Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.

As per a report from journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Blaugrana are ‘seriously involved’ in the bidding for Guéhi.

Deco and co, though, amid their ongoing search for reinforcements at the back, face stiff competition from all of Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and arch rivals Real Madrid.
