Ansu Fati was one of the most notable departures from FC Barcelona this past summer, with the forward joining AS Monaco on a loan deal.
Although Fati initially wanted to remain in the first team and fight for a place in the starting eleven, he ultimately settled for a loan move to Monaco in an attempt to revive his career.
And so far, it has worked out extremely well for the Spaniard, who has already racked up six goals in five competitive matches this season.
A recent report from Mundo Deportivo, AS Monaco do not plan on signing Fati just yet, despite his dream start to the season.
The French giants have an option to sign the forward permanently at the end of the season for a fee of just €11 million.
This could prove to be quite the steal for Monaco if Fati can continue his early-season momentum.

During the presentation of the new coach, Sebastien Pocognoli, the club’s sporting director Thiago Scuro remained coy and said it is not the time for business.
“The key is to continue giving Ansu the conditions so he can get playing time and be an important and consistent player for Monaco,” he said.
“Business isn’t important right now. When the time is right, we’ll make a decision. Monaco is protected in this situation by the agreement we have with the player and Barça. The goal is performance and keeping him on the pitch,” he added.
Sure enough, Monaco have yet to make a move for Fati, who has recently received praise from Spain national team coach Luis de la Fuente for his performances at Monaco.
The French club, therefore, must act soon, especially with clubs like Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Everton lining up for his services.
