In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Barcelona want to recruit Juventus wide player Kenan Yildiz next year. It has been mentioned that the Catalan club are eyeing a move to acquire the services of the Turkish youngster.

Yildiz’s Impressive Form In Serie A

Yildiz enjoyed a good run of form at the Turin club in the previous campaign after he put in a handful of impressive displays for them on the left wing. The Turkish talent played in 52 matches for Juventus last season, scoring 12 goals and securing nine assists in various competitions.

The 20-year-old caught the eye at times on the offensive end of the field as he averaged 2.29 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A. He kept 36.1% of his attempts on target. Yildiz was tidy when distributing the ball in the final third, based on his pass success rate of 79.7% in the Italian top flight (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the Italian club will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, Barcelona would have to make a big offer if they are serious about signing Yildiz next year.

Barcelona Want To Recruit Yildiz Next Year: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Yildiz is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third. He can shoot the ball with power from long range as well.

The Turkish sensation deserves credit for adding a lot of goals and assists to his game last season. He is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also fill in as a right-winger or as a striker down the middle if asked to do so.

Yildaz would no doubt enhance the quality of Barcelona boss Hansi Flick’s frontline in the long run. He is good enough to compete for regular first-team football at the Nou Camp in the coming seasons.

At 20, Yildaz has the potential to be a future star in La Liga. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future. Therefore, the Catalan giants would do well to bring him on board this January or at the end of this campaign.
