According to Diario AS, he told a Bayern supporters’ club: "Bayern is a very, very big club. It’s a dream to play here. But one day I definitely want to play for Real Madrid. That’s the club of my dreams, but let it stay between us."

Karl has emerged over the last six months as one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards and is already a key figure for Bayern. He aims to become the next big teenage star from Bavaria.

Real Madrid have monitored him for some time. They tried to sign him in 2024, but Bayern secured a renewal and the decision was close.

Karl may be one that got away for Madrid, but a move in the coming years would not be a surprise given their track record with elite teenagers. Whether his comments prompt any response in Madrid remains to be seen, though they will have excited supporters.
