Borussia Dortmund want to sign one of Barcelona’s star youngsters | OneFootball

German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund are continuing to keep a close eye on the development of a member of the academy ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona.

That’s according to BILD, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, who highlight Guille Fernández as the player in question.

Youngster Guille is for his part widely considered to be one of the standout up-and-coming talents in Catalunya’s capital.

As much has been evidenced by his frequent call-ups to Hansi Flick’s first-team Barcelona setup.

Guille is a 17-year-old central midfielder, who is also capable of taking to the pitch in a more advanced role, to make use of his technical and creative talents.

With such gifts, though, comes inevitable outside interest.

Guille has repeatedly been linked with a move to the Bundesliga over the last year, specifically with the aforementioned Borussia Dortmund.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, BVB remain more than keen on a deal for the Spaniard.

As per a report from MD:

‘As reported by ‘Bild’, Borussia Dortmund are closely monitoring the situation of Guille Fernández to see if they can sign the young Barça player.’

As of this moment, though, Barcelona seem intent on warding off all interest in Guille.
