Bournemouth agree €35m deal in principle for Vasco da Gama winger Rayan | OneFootball

Bournemouth Echo understands the Cherries have agreed a deal in principle worth €35 million with Vasco da Gama for winger Rayan, and that he is expected to travel to the UK later this week for a medical.

The 19-year-old is keen to join the Premier League club.

He has featured once this season, starting the Campeonato Carioca opener against Marica and scoring twice in a 4-2 win.

He was not in the squad for the meeting with Nova Iguacu as discussions over his future continued.

Rayan has made 99 appearances for Vasco in all competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing two assists.

Bournemouth have been seeking a winger after the departure of Antoine Semenyo and an injury to Justin Kluivert. Head coach Andoni Iraola will be hopeful the Brazilian arrives in time for Liverpool’s visit on Saturday, or failing that for the trip to Wolves.

If the move is completed, he would become Bournemouth’s third January signing, following Fraser Forster and Alex Toth.
