According to PaponaColina, Vasco da Gama and Bournemouth are set to finalise the transfer of forward Rayan, with a meeting on Wednesday 21 focused solely on the payment structure after a total fee of 35 million euros, about R$ 220.7 million, was agreed.
Vasco’s priority is immediate liquidity at São Januário. The club holds a significant slice of the deal and should receive about 24 million euros net, roughly R$ 151 million.
Executives will push to have most of that sum paid up front. Cash flow is seen as vital to keep obligations current and complete final transfer business, supporting finances through the rest of 2026.
Talks accelerated largely because of the player’s stance. Rayan informed the board he wanted to play in the Premier League and asked not to be selected for the derby against Flamengo, avoiding any injury risk that could hinder the move.
The contract with the English club will be for five years. Rayan is expected to travel to England in the coming days for medicals and to sign, which would confirm the biggest sale in Vasco’s history and the eighth largest in Brazilian football.
