Leeds United head to Bournemouth on Wednesday with two players ruled out and three doubts, despite a Whites star returning to training, according to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk.

The fixture was moved from next weekend after United’s FA Cup progress, compressing a week that ends with Sunday’s semi-final at Wembley. Leeds beat Wolves 3-0 on Saturday, sit on 39 points and are eight clear of the drop with five games left.

Bournemouth, who won 2-1 at Newcastle on Saturday, are in fine form and have not lost a league game since a 3-2 home defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, January 3. Andoni Iraola’s squad carry a relatively light injury list.

Joe Rodon has returned far earlier than first feared after his ankle injury at West Ham, came off the bench late against Wolves and suffered no setback, so he is in contention. James Justin impressed against Wolves and, with cramp the only concern, is expected to be available.

Former Leeds midfielder Tyler Adams has regained fitness, playing 45 minutes from the bench in each of the last two matches, and could start or again be used as a substitute.

Lewis Cook, out for seven games with a hamstring issue, has rejoined parts of training and is close, so the bench could be possible. Left back Julio Soler is back with the group after a hamstring problem, although minutes remain limited and he missed the Newcastle squad.

Dan James has resumed training after an adductor strain before the West Ham cup tie, but Daniel Farke stressed he needs repeated sessions after a stop-start year, so involvement would be a surprise.
