The federation announced on Thursday that the specific regulations, the general action plan and the base fixture list for the 2026 Brasileiro Feminino A1 are out, with a base start date of 15 February and the final on 4 October.
The new edition expands the field from 16 to 18 clubs, producing 167 matches across 23 dates, two more than last season. Rounds are scheduled primarily for Sundays and Wednesdays.
All Série A1 participants will also take part in the Copa do Brasil Feminina. Each club will receive a fixed R$ 720,000 in the first phase, with an extra R$ 20,000 per nationally televised first choice game.
Prize money is set at R$ 2 million for the champions and R$ 1 million for the runners-up. Two teams will be relegated to Série A2 at the end of the competition.
Every match will be broadcast and clubs will have access to performance analysis tools. The CBF will also fund travel for lactating players to be accompanied by their children.
From 2027, all players in the competition must hold a signed professional contract. Palmeiras open at home against América-MG, then face Corinthians, São Paulo, Flamengo and Santos in the first phase.
