Corinthians drew 1-1 with Cruzeiro on Wednesday night, extending their unbeaten run to five matches across competitions. It matches their longest sequence without defeat since August 2025.
As reported by Meu Timao.
The run started on 12 February with a 2-0 win over Red Bull Bragantino at the Neo Química Arena in the Brasileirão. It continued with a 1-0 victory at São Bernardo in the Campeonato Paulista, then a 1-0 success at Athletico Paranaense.
In the Paulista quarter-final at Canindé, Corinthians progressed on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time, winning 8-7 in the shootout.
In 2025, the previous comparable streak comprised five matches, starting with a 3-2 win at Vasco da Gama on 24 August, then a 1-0 victory at Athletico Paranaense, a 1-1 home draw with Palmeiras, a 2-0 home win over Athletico, and a 1-0 triumph at Fluminense on 13 September.
Both meetings with Athletico were in the Copa do Brasil, the other three were in the Campeonato Brasileiro.
Had Corinthians beaten Cruzeiro, they would have secured another positive milestone, stringing together their longest sequence of wins during October and November last year.
Attention now shifts to a decisive Campeonato Paulista semi-final. Corinthians visit Novorizontino on Saturday at 20:30 at Estádio Doutor Jorge Ismael de Biasi. The winner will contest a two-legged state final.
