Corinthians register 50 players for Libertadores group stage, opener at Platense

According to Globo.com, Corinthians have registered 50 players for the 2026 Conmebol Libertadores group stage, and Dorival Júnior's side open away to Platense in Buenos Aires on Thursday at 21:00 Brasília time.

Independiente Santa Fé of Colombia and Peñarol of Uruguay complete Group E alongside Corinthians and Platense.

The opening phase is played home and away, with only the top two in each group progressing to the last 16. The third-placed team moves into the Copa Sudamericana play-off.

The squad list includes 20 academy players as well as established first-team names.

Competition rules allow changes to registrations only between the last 16 and the semi-final. Brazil's transfer window reopens in July.

In an interview last Tuesday, club president Osmar Stabile said he sees the side in contention for the continental title.
