Corinthians U17 keeper celebrates milestone, on national team training

Goalkeeper Ana Morganti, a standout for Corinthians Under-17, is experiencing one of the best moments of her career. Champion of the Brazilian Women's Under-17 Championship with Timão, the goalkeeper was called up for training with the Brazilian Under-17 National Team at the end of August.

Along with the rest of the squad, the young goalkeeper trained at CT Dartanhã in Guararema, São Paulo, participating in the penultimate preparation phase for the World Cup in the category. In an interview with CBF TV, Morganti assessed the training sessions and highlighted the importance of maintaining total focus at this decisive moment.

“This preparation period is important in many ways, but mainly to get in sync with the tactical concepts of our game model and align well with our objectives. We know the challenges ahead will be great, and we want to arrive with the certainty that we are fighting for the same purpose,” said the goalkeeper.

The training phase has also been essential for integrating the group. Coach Rilany Silva mixed athletes who participated in this year's South American Under-17 Championship, where Brazil finished as runners-up, with players experiencing their first time with the national team. Morganti praised the environment among the athletes and the exchange of learning experiences.

“The integration is very good because those who are here for the first time have arrived with intensity, seeking to learn from those who have been here before. At the same time, those with more experience in the scene are giving their all to share experiences and welcome newcomers. It's been a very rich exchange of learning, and we are becoming a unit.”, pointed out the young player.

A few days before joining the National Team, the goalkeeper helped Corinthians win an unprecedented title in the Brazilian Women's Under-17 Championship. A key player in the campaign, Morganti celebrated the special moment and highlighted that the victory serves as fuel for new goals.

“I am very happy with this moment in my career. The Brazilian title is not just an achievement but the crowning of a very well-done job by the club, which involved a lot of overcoming and dedication. We spent years 'hitting the post' and trying again, and this victory gives me more desire to achieve even greater goals. Joining the National Team right after, with this energy, gives me more conviction that I am on the right path.”, concluded Ana.

With the Under-17 World Cup approaching, Ana Morganti arrives fueled by her excellent performance with the Corinthians jersey and seeks to consolidate her place in the Brazilian National Team.
