Danilho Doekhi ‘to sign’ for Lazio after arrival in Rome | OneFootball

Danilho Doekhi has arrived in Rome and is in talks over a free transfer to Lazio, Sky Sport Italia reports, with a meeting planned today to settle the remaining details.

The report also indicated his arrival would not rule out a move for Sergi Dominguez, as Lazio could add two centre-backs after recent exits. Mario Gila has joined AC Milan and Alessio Romagnoli should soon finalise a switch to Al-Sadd.

The 28-year-old is a Rotterdam native who came through Ajax’s academy before establishing himself at Vitesse.

He spent four years at Union Berlin, leaving this summer at the end of his contract. Former Union team-mate Diogo Leite is also on Lazio’s shortlist.

If completed, Doekhi would be Lazio’s second summer addition after Alfonso Pedraza, who agreed a pre-contract in the winter. The transfer has not been signed off yet.
