Dors, Ortiz, Taylor score braces in U-20 Qualifiers

MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Qualifiers continued with action in Groups A, B and C on Wednesday.
Group A
Belize 3, Grenada 0
Belize got its first victory, 3-nil, against Grenada in Group A at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.
Oscar Carranza scored the first goal for Belize in the 37’. Marlon Meza found the net in the 81’, to extend the lead. Tyrone Linares added a third in the 83’ to wrap up the victory.
Suriname 2, French Guiana 0
Suriname got back-to-back wins after defeating French Guiana, 2-1, at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.
Xavi Dors was the game changer once again for Suriname, scoring in the 19’. He secured his second brace in the tournament in the 76’.
Saint Martin 1, El Salvador 4
El Salvador won 4-1 against Saint Martin in Group A at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.
Christian Coreas scored the first goal of the match from the penalty spot in the 12’ to give El Salvador the lead. Jaheem Joe pulled one back for Saint Martin with a header in the 15’.
El Salvador retook the lead in the 75’ thanks to a header from Diego Peña. A right-footed shot from Wilber Diaz in the 82’ extended the lead for La Selecta. Gerson Robles struck in the 86’ to close the scoring.
Group B
Saint Kitts and Nevis 3, Cayman Islands 0
Saint Kitts and Nevis defeated the Cayman Islands, 3-nil, in Group B at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
The deadlock was broken in the 43’, as Saint Kitts and Nevis took the lead from a penalty kick by Savi-K Morton. Shamar Matthew added to the lead in the 45'+5’.
De'Quan Hamilton scored the third goal in the 56’ as Saint Kitts and Nevis took the full three points.
Puerto Rico 5, Bonaire 0
Puerto Rico got its second win in Group B, a 4-1 result against Bonaire in Group B at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
An own goal by Timothy Muller put Puerto Rico ahead in the 5’. Ryan Basabe doubled the lead in the 13’. Joldy Diaz added the third goal for Los Boricuas in the 76’.
Eddiel Marquez netted the fourth for Puerto Rico in the 87’. Isaiah Vicentti scored in the 90’+1’ to put an exclamation point on the victory.
Turks and Caicos Islands 0, Jamaica 7
Jamaica won 7-nil against Turks and Caicos Islands in Group B at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
Raequan Campbell Dennis was the author of the first two goals, in the 10’ and 13’, to give Jamaica the lead. Jahmarie Nolan added the third in the 18’.
Jabarie Howell penned his name on the scoresheet in the 30’, the fourth for the Reggae Boyz. Giovanni Taylor scored the fifth in the 61’, before Orel Miller added the sixth goal in the 82’. Taylor collected a brace in the 87’, to secure back-to-back wins for Jamaica.
Group C
Antigua and Barbuda 2, British Virgin Islands 0
Antigua and Barbuda earned a 2-nil win against the British Virgin Islands in Group C at Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Greg Williams struck the opening goal in the 15’. An own goal by Toby Whiteside in the 50’ doubled the lead for Antigua and Barbuda.
Dominica 0, Dominican Republic 3
The Dominican Republic won 3-nil against Dominica in Group C at Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Nicolas Bobea scored the first for the Dominican Republic in the 14’, before Cristian Ortiz found the net in the 75’. Ortiz completed his brace in the 90’+2’.
