Barcelona prodigy Dro Fernandez has decided to leave Camp Nou in January (h/t Diario Sport).

The 18-year-old has been promoted to the first team this season, making four appearances in all competitions. He made his senior team debut against Real Sociedad in September.

Regarded as one of the standout talents from the youth ranks, Barca were also planning to extend Dro’s contract for the long term.

Manager Hansi Flick is unhappy about the teenager’s decision to leave the club, as he had placed huge trust in his potential.

Dro feels his chances of succeeding at Barca are slim due to the presence of Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez.

He has a release clause worth €6 million and no shortage of suitors.

Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City are keeping tabs on him.

Dro’s departure could affect fellow midfielder Marc Bernal’s plans at Barca

Bernal has been heavily linked with a loan move to Girona in search of regular game time, but Flick could block his exit to maintain the squad depth.

Ter Stegen to Girona in the final stages

Girona are in advanced talks to complete Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s loan deal until the end of the season (h/t journalist Florian Plettenberg).

The German goalkeeper has finally given the green light to the move after realising that it will be hard to topple Joan Garcia at Barca.

The 33-year-old needs regular game time to increase his chances of securing a spot in Germany’s World Cup squad.

Girona want to make Ter Stegen the first choice due to Fenerbahce loanee Dominik Livakovic’s uncertain future and Paulo Gazzaniga’s unconvincing performances.

Barca will cover 90 percent of his salary to facilitate his loan move to Girona. The deal could be finalised in the coming days.
