Sunderland could have a sizeable World Cup presence, with qualifying complete and the 48-nation field set for North America this summer.

Per Sunderland Echo, Tuesday's play-offs sealed the final berths and Italy lost on penalties to Bosnia and Herzegovina after beating Northern Ireland in the semi-final.

Lutsharel Geertruida played three qualifiers and 73 minutes in the 1-1 with Ecuador, and it would be a surprise if Koeman left him out. Chemsdine Talbi had only 13 qualifying minutes but has four caps since and remains in contention.

Brian Brobbey led the line in that 1-1, has one goal in 10 caps, and despite no qualifying minutes could still be Koeman's Plan B. Nilson Angulo missed the Netherlands clash through injury, yet with 12 caps and four straight qualifiers, including a 1-0 win over Argentina, if fit he will be there.

Omar Alderete is a cornerstone for Los Guaraníes and will be a starter this summer if fit. Wilson Isidor switched to Haiti, won two caps this break and hit a late equaliser in Tuesday's 1-1 with Iceland.

Habib Diarra featured only sporadically in qualifying, yet with four goals in 18 caps he will surely make Senegal's squad. Noah Sadiki logged 73 minutes and is now crucial for club and country. Granit Xhaka played all but 14 minutes, captained and scored twice, and this could be his final World Cup.
