The 60-year-old is eager to return to management following his dismissal from Tottenham Hotspur last season, where a 17th-place Premier League finish and a Europa League triumph were not enough to secure an extended stay in North London under Daniel Levy.
He has recently been linked with Nottingham Forest, where Nuno Espirito Santo’s position remains uncertain amid tensions with the club and Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis.
There were reports that the ex-Celtic boss preferred a return to the Premier League, though he was ultimately not considered for that role.

However, Postecoglou may now be in contention for two major European managerial roles, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the Australian is being considered by Fenerbahce following Jose Mourinho’s departure, as well as by Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen after Erik ten Hag’s quick dismissal.
Taking to X, Romano said: “Ange Postecoglou, emerging as option for both Bayer Leverkusen and Fenerbahçe looking for new head coach. Former Spurs manager discussed as name at both clubs ahead of decision.”
Postecoglou won five trophies during his trophy-laden spell with Celtic including an historic Treble in his second season.
Meanwhile, Celtic’s Europa League squad for games against Red Star Belgrade, Braga, Sturm Graz, Midtylland, Feyenoord, Roma, Bologna and Utrecht were announced last night.

Damningly, there was no room for Brendan Rodgers’ four new dazzling multi-million pound summer signings. Shin Yamada, Jahmai Simpson-Pusey, Callum Osmand and Hayato Inamura were omitted from the 24-man squad.
Included were Michel Ange-Balikwisha, Sebastian Tounekti, Marcelo Saracchi and Kelechi Iheanacho. UEFA allow up to a 26-man squad, but Celtic have only named 24 due to only having seven homegrown players within their first-team.
Celtic kick off their Europa League campaign in 20 days time with a trip to Belgrade.
