Felipe Longo, Hugo Souza’s immediate deputy, is out of Corinthians’ visit to Cruzeiro on Wednesday at 20:00 Brasília time at Mineirão in Belo Horizonte, in the fourth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
According to Globo.com, the 20-year-old felt elbow discomfort during a session at CT Joaquim Grava and the staff kept him from travelling.
At 16, academy goalkeeper Gustavo Milani is a new name in the squad list. Kauê, usually the third choice in the position, is also available.
Yuri Alberto, Kaio César, Matheus Pereira and Hugo are also out while under medical care. In all, Dorival Júnior has named 24 players for the match.
The delegation arrived in the Minas capital at around 20:30 on Tuesday. The group had been due to land in late afternoon, but a technical issue with the aircraft at Guarulhos in São Paulo delayed the flight by approximately one hour.
The squad waited in a reserved room at the airport until the plane was cleared for take-off.
The likely Corinthians XI has Hugo Souza, followed by Pedro Milans, André Ramalho or Gabriel Paulista, João Pedro Tchoca and Fabrizio Angileri, then Charles or Raniele, Allan, Carrillo or Breno Bidon and Rodrigo Garro, plus Vitinho or Memphis Depay and Gui Negão.
Corinthians have six points from three rounds in the Brasileirão and sit fifth.
