Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Marshall Munetsi has been linked with a return to the French Ligue 1 ahead of the January transfer window.
The Zimbabwe international ended a six-year stay at Stade Reims to join English Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers in February 2025.
Munetsi signed a deal until June 2028 and was a key cog in the heart of midfield under then-head coach Vitor Pereira, who was sacked last month.
The Portuguese mentor's exit saw the 29-year-old's minutes diminish under the tutelage of new manager Rob Edwards, which raises question marks over his future.
Since joining Wolves, Munetsi has made 31 appearances across all competitions, chipping in with four goals and two assists.
Now, French outlet L'Equipe has reported that several unnamed Ligue 1 clubs are monitoring the player's situation at Molineux, as they are keen to lure him back to the country.
Wolves are understood to be open to offers for the Zim captain, with a loan deal mooted as he appears to have fallen down the pecking order.
Notably, the versatile player was left out of the Zimbabwe final Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) squad due to injury, which could accelerate a potential transfer.
