L’Équipe reports that Didier Deschamps is unlikely to make any ‘major’ changes to his France team that convincingly beat Senegal 3-1 in their FIFA World Cup group stage opener, as they prepare to take on Iraq on Monday evening.

Les Bleus were slow to start in their opening match against Les Lions de la Teranga. However, after a dressing down at half-time, Deschamps’ players came out with a renewed vigour and intensity in the second half and found themselves on the scoresheet three times.

No fitness issues after Senegal win

There are no new fitness issues for France following their victory against Senegal. Malo Gusto and William Saliba are both undergoing treatment for their individual fitness issues, but nothing serious emegred from the game and Deschamps will be pleased to have almost a full squad to choose from.
