Roma’s transfer window is getting ready to heat up.

While the spotlight remains on headline names like Joshua Zirkzee, temporarily held back by Amorim at United, and Giacomo Raspadori, whose investment the Friedkins have already given the green light for, sporting director Frederic Massara continues to monitor a player who is stunning Serie A: Giovane.

A quiet arrival this summer from Corinthians, the 2003-born striker quickly rose to prominence at the Bentegodi.

As highlighted by ESPN Brasil, his performances have attracted the attention of the league’s top clubs.

Giovane is a modern, left-footed striker capable of operating as both a winger and a second striker, characteristics that complement the pressing, high-speed style of football advocated by Gian Piero Gasperini.

His ability to beat a player and his pace with the ball have made him one of the most sought-after young players, so much so that he has already scored some crucial goals this season.

Roma, however, is not alone in this race. In addition to interest from Inter, with Ausilio having already sounded out the player’s agent, and Atalanta, who see him as a possible heir to Lookman, international clubs such as Borussia Dortmund are also interested.

Hellas Verona, open to transfers, has put up a wall: sporting director Sogliano will not consider offers lower than €22 million.
