Granit Xhaka, Brian Brobbey and Wilson Isidor posted Instagram messages to Sunderland supporters after the comeback win at Everton. According to Sunderland Echo, the trio addressed fans online following full-time.

Régis Le Bris’ side came from behind to win 3-1 at Hill Dickinson Stadium in a stirring second half. Brobbey levelled, Enzo Le Fée put Sunderland ahead, then Isidor sealed it late from Habib Diarra’s cross.

Brobbey thanked the fans on Instagram, calling it a big win and saying they would keep pushing together.

Captain Xhaka posted, “BIG CHARACTER. BIG WIN. LET’S GOOOO”, adding clapping emojis and the hashtag “GX34”.

Isidor described it as a huge win that keeps the dream alive and urged one last push next week. He also tagged Diarra and added in French, “quelle passe merci mon frère”, meaning, “What a pass, thank you my brother”.

Team-mates quickly responded, with Lutsharel Geertruida commenting “Willloooooo”. Luke O’Nien replied with heart and clapping emojis.

The result keeps Sunderland’s European hopes alive into the final day, with Chelsea still to come at the Stadium of Light. A home win could be enough if other results fall their way.
